WHAT IS WISDOM?
Wisdom as a noun is defined as the quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgment. it is the quality of being wise. This means that a wise person will have insight, understanding, and intelligence. He or she will demonstrate common sense in decisions.
TYPES OF WISDOM
From the Bible verses above, we can talk about three types of wisdom.
1. GODLY WISDOM. This wisdom is eternal. It is divine and it is the appropriate means of solving our problems.
2.WORLDLY WISDOM. This wisdom is from man. It is earthy and can be of positive or negative intentions but it's never the appropriate means of solving issues of life.
3.SATANIC WISDOM. This, as the name implies, is from the devil, it is demonic with no good or positive intention. It is never an appropriate means of solving problems.
Having looked into the types of wisdom briefly, we are going to be concentrating on Godly wisdom. This, as the topic says, is divine. This is the wisdom expected to be displayed anyone that is born of God, not the enticing words of man's wisdom. Beloved, this wisdom must be in line with the eternal will of God, nothing short of it.
WHAT THEN IS GODLY WISDOM?
1. IT IS THE FEAR OF THE LORD. The Bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So honestly speaking, if we fear God in all areas, note that I said in all areas, then we have the wisdom of God. Our decisions and choices must be in line with the will of God. What is the word of God saying about it? What has God revealed to you which must also be in line with His word, not the philosophy or opinion of a man
WHY DO WE NEED GODLY WISDOM?
The question is like asking why do we need to live? Consider the following Bible passage;
2. We need God's wisdom because it is the only certainty. No matter our past experiences, the worldly wisdom will definitely fail but God's wisdom is eternal. See Colossians 2:2-3:

1. OH LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, RELEASE YOUR WISDOM TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE IN LIFE UPON US AND IN ALL SITUATIONS IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
2. KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM TO DIVINELY MANAGE THE WEALTH OF GOD, EXPLODE IN OUR LIVES IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.(JAMES 3:13-17).
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory(1 CORITHIANS 2:3-8)

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.(JOB 28:28).
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10).2. GODLY WISDOM IS THE ABILITY TO MAKE THE RIGHT JUDGEMENT ACCORDING TO HIS WILL. The wisdom of God in us helps us to interpret appropriately, despising and not considering our own feelings or opinion.
Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed. (Ecclesiastes 8:1).3.GOD'S WISDOM IS TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ISSUES.
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:(Isaiah 11:3)
WHY DO WE NEED GODLY WISDOM?
The question is like asking why do we need to live? Consider the following Bible passage;
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.1 Cor 1:251. We need God's wisdom because it is the only way to show that we are living. Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God and without Him, there is no life. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and The Life. The Bible says that in Him we live, move and have our being.
2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.3. Godly wisdom helps us in decision making, especially in difficult situations. When you get stuck in life, beloved, you need God's WORD to get out of it, not human wisdom, or the wisdom of this world. There had been times I got confused and was on a crossroad, but God's word saved me and thank God I was not disobedient to the Heavenly vision.
The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.Deuteronomy 29:294. Beloved, we need God's wisdom in all that we do. However, you need Jesus in your life to demonstrate this divine wisdom. He is the wisdom of God, therefore I invite you now to accept HIM into your life. Open the heart of your door to Him and let Him come in. I pray for God's grace and mercy upon your life as you make this important decision in the name of Jesus.
