There's A Treasure In You (PART 2)

Beloved, last week we started a topic that says there is a treasure in you. Let me remind you that there is a treasure in you actually means that there is God's treasure or deposits in you. It's all about what God has deposited in you, not your own making or that of another man. For this reason, you must not give up. You must look beyond what you are seeing now.

Last week we stopped at what to do if you think all hope is lost. We looked at option no 3. Let's continue.



4.PRAY, ALWAYS PRAY.
Beloved, I know it's not easy but to be honest with you this is one very important thing you must do. We all must always pray for the Holy Bible says so.

1 THESSALONIANS 5:17. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.

 Beloved, prayer is the key that opens every closed door. However, it is very important for us to pray aright for the Holy Bible says:

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3. (NIV).

SO, it is very clear that most times we do not receive answers to our prayers because of selfish motivated reasons. Having said this, we must, therefore, ensure that we pray according to the will of God. Let the word of God be our standard when we pray.
It is also important to know and apply the answers to the questions below:

WHO DO YOU PRAY TO?

HOW DO YOU PRAY?

WHEN DO YOU PRAY?

WHY DO YOU PRAY?

WHERE DO YOU PRAY?

The Bible makes it very clear to us that we must pray only to Jehovah, the One, and only true God.
My direct but simple answer is this; pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
See Acts 4:12:

Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is none other names under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

We must pray directly to God through Jesu Christ, who sacrificed His life for us.
Hebrews 4:14-16 says:

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. 

Beloved, we are not to pray to any human being or through them just like we must not worship any creature. Our God forbids it.

WE MUST NOT PRAY TO THE DEAD

WE MUST NOT PRAY TO ANY HUMAN OR MORTAL MAN

WE MUST NOT PRAY TO ANY CREATURE

WE MUST NOT PRAY TO OBJECTS OR ANIMALS 

THERE MUST BE NOTHING THAT LOOKS LIKE GOD (SIMILITUDE)WHICH WE PRAY TO OR WORSHIP.

 Beloved, let us learn to study the Holy Bible, for therein lies the solution to all our problems.

2 Timothy 2:5-For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6-For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and forever they have no more share in all that is done under the sun.

 John 14:6-Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Leviticus 19:31-“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.

1 Timothy2:5-6-For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.

There are lots of scriptures to show that we must not pray to any creature whether they are dead or alive. We must not also pray to any saints and there must not be an image or object or statue which we worship or pray to. I pray that God will open our eyes of understanding in Jesus name.
Remember that we are dealing with what to do if you think all hope is lost. We shall be stopping here. Next week, we will complete the option of prayer as we have to know exactly what prayer is and is not.

1. Father, we thank you for opening our eyes to the scripture. Blessed be your name in Jesus name.
2. Oh Lord or Father, teach us to pray by the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus
3. Everything that is against prayer in my life, be destroyed now in the name of Jesus.
4. Oh Lord, instill in us a fruitful and joyful prayer life in the name of Jesus.
Father, I thank you for I know you have answered. I pray Lord, that the spirit of heaviness in the life of anyone reading this be replaced by the eternal  Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.
